How Copyrighting Works
When someone creates a product viewed as original and requires significant mental activity, this product becomes an intellectual property that needs to be protected from unauthorized duplication. And that is done through copyright. Under this law, work created by an author dependently and not duplicated is considered original. This type of work is known as an Original Work of Authorship (OWA). Anyone with original work automatically has the copyright to that work, preventing anyone else from using or replicating it. The author can choose to register for the copyright or have an attorney assist them.

What Is Not Copyrighted?
Unfortunately, not everything created can be copyrighted. Unless the original work is tangible, then it cannot be copyrighted. Any speech, discoveries, musical scores, or ideas must be written down in physical form to be protected by copyright.
